Fifty-six primary school principals and teachers visited the Community Education Centre (CEC) and had a meeting with Prof Lap-Chee Tsui, President of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences (ASHK), Prof Vivian W W Yam and Prof Henry N C Wong, Founding Members of ASHK on 20th April 2021.  At the meeting, they discussed the direction and development of STEM education. The activity was organised under the Quality Education Fund Thematic Networks of Education Bureau.

The CEC is located in the Hong Kong Science Park and jointly operated by ASHK and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences to showcase the achievements and stories of members and fellows of the two academies. It acts as a bridge between the academies and the public and informs the community on latest progress in science and technology. The Centre also organises science popularisation activities to increase the knowledge and interest of the general public in science and technology. Schools and organisations are welcome to make appointments for group visits.
