
Professor Jun YU, Member of The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics and Assistant Dean (Mainland Affairs) of the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has been awarded The 9th Fok Ying-Tung Prize of the World Outstanding Chinese Doctor Award, in recognition of her outstanding achievements and significant contributions to gastrointestinal cancer research.
The Fok Ying-Tung Prize of the World Outstanding Chinese Doctor Award – Established by the Board of Directors of the World Association of Chinese Doctors, the award is named after the distinguished global Chinese leader Mr. Henry Fok and funded by the Henry Fok Foundation. Since 2018, it has been presented to outstanding representatives among global Chinese doctors to inspire and encourage more Chinese medical professionals to contribute to the health of people worldwide. Professor Jun YU is the only Hong Kong scholar among this year’s 10 award recipients.
