Professor Dennis Lo received the inaugural Tengchong Science Prize

Professor Dennis Yuk Ming LO, President of The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences (ASHK) received the inaugural Tengchong Science Award.

Professor Lo thanked the Tengchong Scientists Forum for giving him this award. He said, “I am honored to receive the first Tengchong Science Award. I will continue to work hard to transform scientific research results into technologies that can benefit human health. I also hope that this will inspire more young people to pursue a career in I&T and contribute to the development of national science and technology development.”

The purpose of the Tengchong Scientists Forum is “Science and technology lead the future” and themed “Science and green development” in 2023. The 2023 Tengchong Scientists Forum established the inaugural Tengchong Science Award for the first time which offers a single prize of 10 million RMB. It is a social initiative aiming at honouring scientists who have made significant breakthroughs at the forefront of science and technology and outstanding contributions to scientific discovery and technological innovation in the world.
